Remembering the Simpler Days

How I long for the simpler days:  Spending hours exploring the outdoors on my bicycle in remote areas, shooting tin cans with my BB gun, riding bike for 10 miles or more to go fishing, playing with toy solders with my brother Jeff for hours on end, knocking down apples from high up in the trees with my slingshot,  using tin cans and string to talk to my friend, Owen, in the house next door, collecting rocks, gems, fossils and petrified sharks teeth and sequoia cones in North Dakota (Yes, Virginia, global warming has been around long before mankind arrived lol), going to church, where gave willingly of our time and money to help the homeless, widows, and the less fortunate instead of the government, and playing marbles with my friends (and, please, refrain from making snide remarks about loosing my marbles) 🙂 What are your fondest memories of growing up?

And he in fact bought me breakfast because I stumbled upon it for him…

But yeah, thanks for spending the time to discuss this
subject here on your internet site.
